La Grande Mare’s golf assistant, Monty Wyatt, recently visited SGGT Tour Performance Fitting Studio in Edinburgh. SGGT is one of the UK’s leading club-fitting facilities and La Grande Mare’s equipment partner. The trip offered Monty a professional development opportunity to learn how elite club fitters use technology, their experience, and attention to detail to help golfers get the best from their equipment.

A key takeaway from the visit was how much every detail matters. Grip size, shaft choice, club head design, and even the type of golf ball used can all affect players’ performance. SGGT highlighted how important it is to see the ball flight during fittings, not just numbers on a screen. This gives a more holistic view of a player’s game.
