New Junior Golf Academy Teed up for Launch at La Grande Mare
La Grande Mare is delighted to announce the launch of its new Junior Golf Academy, offering young islanders the opportunity to discover the game, develop their skills and build a lifelong passion for golf.
Launching on Saturday 14 November, the exciting new programme will welcome children aged 5 to 13 years old, providing expert coaching in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment at La Grande Mare's state-of-the-art Golf Performance Centre.
Whether they are picking up a golf club for the first time or looking to take their game to the next level, young golfers will benefit from structured sessions designed to build confidence, develop technique and nurture their potential.
The Academy will be led by Nic Bell, Golf Operations Manager and PGA Trainee / Assistant Professional, who brings extensive experience of successfully delivering similar junior golf programmes in the UK and Dubai.
With a maximum coaching ratio of 8:1, every young golfer benefits from personalised, expert guidance with an emphasis on etiquette, enjoyment and learning. This nurturing approach helps children develop their golfing knowledge and abilities alongside valuable life skills.
Nic said: “We're incredibly excited to launch our new Junior Golf Academy and create opportunities for the next generation of islanders to discover everything the game has to offer.
“Golf has such a strong following in Guernsey, and we want to build on that enthusiasm by inspiring young players, developing their skills and giving them the confidence to progress.
“Whether they're complete beginners or already showing a flair for the game, our aim is to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment where every child can learn, improve and, most importantly, have fun. Who knows, we might even inspire a future champion!”
