International Golf Performance Expert Karl Morris to Visit La Grande Mare
The 2026 Open Champion, Ryan Fox, credits performance coach Karl Morris for his historic win. Working together on decision-making and breathing techniques to remain calm under pressure helped Fox clinch the coveted title.
La Grande Mare Golf Club is delighted to announce that Karl Morris will visit Guernsey for an exclusive two-day programme this September. His visit will give local players a unique opportunity to learn from one of the world’s leading experts in the mental game.
Widely regarded as one of golf’s foremost performance coaches, Karl has spent more than three decades helping golfers unlock their potential by improving confidence, focus, and decision-making on the course. Having worked with Major champions, including Fox, Ryder Cup players, and golfers of every ability, his practical approach has helped thousands of players perform better by changing the way they think, rather than simply changing the way they swing.
During his visit to La Grande Mare, Karl will deliver an exclusive programme consisting of:

The putting clinic will combine technical insight with Karl’s renowned performance psychology, helping golfers develop greater confidence and consistency on the greens.
The evening workshop will explore the mental side of golf, providing practical strategies that players of all abilities can immediately apply to improve scoring, manage pressure, and enjoy the game more.
A particularly exciting aspect of Karl’s visit will be a collaborative performance study led by La Grande Mare’s golf instruction team.
Participants will first complete a benchmarking session to assess key performance measures before taking part in an intervention. Their performance will then be monitored to evaluate the impact of mental performance coaching in a practical golfing environment.
Sue Shapcott PhD, PGA, La Grande Mare’s Golf Performance Director, said: “This is such an exciting opportunity for golfers in Guernsey. Karl is recognised around the world for his ability to help golfers play to their potential by improving the mental side of the game. Bringing someone of his calibre to La Grande Mare reflects our commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences and continually developing golf on the island.”
Karl Morris added: “The biggest improvements in golf often come from changing how you think rather than changing your swing. I’m looking forward to visiting Guernsey, meeting the local golf community and sharing ideas that golfers can use immediately to enjoy the game more and play to their true potential.”
Spaces for all three events are limited and early booking is recommended.
